Glacial blues, satin-finished in vertical bands — the colour of a morning lake under high cloud, fractured by light.
Drawing on its rich heritage, Edouard Koehn brings back the moonphase display — a complication already present in the Maison's historical pocket watches. The new Legacy Moonphase chronograph keeps the classic codes of the Legacy collection, harmoniously integrating the moonphase and pointer-date with the chronograph.
The movement, developed exclusively with Manufacture Concepto, pays tribute to master watchmaker Edouard Koehn (1839–1908), renowned for his expertise of this complication. The instantaneous 30-minute counter sits at 3 o'clock, while the red central chronograph seconds is engaged by the pusher at 2. The pusher at 4 resets the chronograph. The pointer date and the moon-disc share the counter at 6.
The moonphase indication tracks the principal phases of our satellite — a lunation of 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes and 2.9 seconds, rounded to 29.5 days. The disc is driven by a 59-tooth wheel advancing one notch every two days, mirroring the lunar cycle with precision.
